Weird...

So I didn't go to work today.

That's freakin WEIRD!!! I honestly am kinda... freaked out about it. I mean, its VERY cool... and it was DEEPLY wonderful to get to sleep in, but DAYUM!!

I did have a productive day tho... spent a lot of time just resting, but also did some filing that was badly needed, tidied the house some, played with Nate... overall a good day

I ready today on bitchypoo.com (and onefatbitchypoo.com) that Robyn had bariatric surgery today and I am sending LOTS of fast and complication-free healing vibes her way. I hope everything goes PERFECTLY for her, she truly deserves only the best from this. I hate that people think surgery is the "easy" way out for ANY problem... surgery is HUGELY risky and recovery is no treat.

I hope to hell that I don't have to have a c-section at the end of this pregnancy, but if I do I have to believe I'll be ok and will recover fully... but the idea of "elective" cesarian section being easier than a vaginal birth just blows my mind... no freakin way dude!

In any case... I'm sure I'll adjust to the not working thing in a few days... but expect me to be a little jumpy for a while.

;)

if you have a c-section (they aren't that bad) just make sure you get up and walk when they tell you too. You will heal so much faster that way. When I had my last baby this other girl had a c-section the same day I did and did not get up from her hospital bed until she left. (well she did go pee) The nurses were so mad at her. She kepts crying about how much it hurt. Blah, blah, blah. By the time she left I was practically running down the hallways.

Whoah... ok, thank you for the advice! I have a pretty high tollerance to pain so if walking around will get me better faster I will DEFINITELY be up and around ASAP!

Thanks!!!

*giggle* Im one of those who actually *enjoyed* the c-section, but you of course know my vaginal births were complicated and not something I looked forward to repeating, heh. It was scary though knowing that the baby was stuck and couldn't move...

If you do have to go the c-section route, I agree with the above comment-- try to move a little bit around. I only had pain in a small segment of my abdomen (on my right side), it felt like a deep tissue stab wound (LOL) and it only happened when I moved too quickly. Don't be shocked if you come home with legs and feet that resemble an elephant's! I thought I was having an allergic reaction hahahaha.

I have a feeling though that you will be able to hang in there and have a natural birth. Will you be spending time with the babies afterward? If so, get the parents to bring their Boppy pillows so you can use them. And if they don't have a Boppy pillow, tell them to get one ASAP!!! They are life savers!
